Driving the Mitsubishi i MiEV

I am now back to driving the Mitsubishi i MiEV again and what a pleasure!!!

This is the first time this school term that I have been able to use the electric car for the school run. It is nice to get back into a car which is quiet, quick and easy to drive.

Today I have done the school run, a trip to Leamington Spa and the post office, this is about 20 miles. Our average for the first 6 months was 22 miles per day.

We have now completed 5730 miles in 9 months, which is still on average 21 miles per day, even without using it for several weeks.

Why do I like driving an electric car?

It is not just about saving fuel, the environment or money. It is also about being a more relaxing drive - there are no gear changes, no vibration from the engine and no noise from the motor. The accelaration is instant and quick, I can also keep up with most of the traffic.
