Electric Car to Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle
18th April 2010 - Today we are going to take the Electric Car to Warwick Castle. The picnic is all packed and we are ready to go
We have lived near to Warwick Castle for over two years and have never made a visit. The Castle is only 9 miles away. Our Sat Nav always tries to take us on main roads, but we prefer to take the scenic shorter route.
Using an electric car in the country means that you can enjoy the country sounds and hear the birds, unlike a petrol car where the engine drowns out all the sounds around. One of the roads is closed due to road works so we need to get back onto the main road, only an extra mile so no problem.
The parking for Warwick castle is nearly full but we are shown a space by the attendant. It is a fairly long walk to the castle, but well worth it. There is lots to explore, very large grounds, a princess tower, dungeons (we did not leave the children there,) walls and entertainment. If you have not been before, it is well worth a visit.
A nice easy journey home and enough charge left in the i MiEV for tomorrow so no need to charge it up tonight.
