Mitsubishi i MiEV broken down again

Mitsubishi i MiEV

30th June 2010 - Our Mitsubishi i MiEV is broken down again. A few weeks ago we had a problem that the 12 volt auxiliary battery was flat and we were unable to move the car. This morning I got into the car and although the battery was not completely flat the car had not charged overnight. I tried plugging in the car into another socket in case it was a problem with the fuse, but this made no difference.

I then connected the auxiliary battery to another 12 volt battery using car jump leads and the car started charging immediately. This still left me with no car and 3 children to get to school. Luckily one of my friends had a car I could borrow.

I spoke to Mitsubishi and arranged for MAP (Mitsubishi Assistance Package) to collect the i MiEV and deliver a hire car. MAP provided excellent service within a couple of hours the car was back at the garage and we had the replacement hire car delivered.
