More Mitsubishi i MiEV Problems

16th September 2010 - We have had more Mitsubishi i MiEV problems, but hopefully they are now resolved.

After only having the car back for 2 days, I went to take the children to school on Monday morning and the alarm went off again and we could not start the car. Another call into Mitsubishi Assistance Package to get the car recovered and extend the rental on the hire car.

After discussions with Mitsubishi they decide to change the auxiliary battery for a larger battery. We finally collected the car this morning with the new battery and everything seems to be OK. Long may it last.

We understand that the problems with the auxiliary battery is caused by the data logger. Our Mitsubishi electric car is part of the CABLED trial and included in the trial it is required to track all the cars movements as well as the electricity used. The data logger is constantly sending infoemation even when the electric car is not in use
