Nissan Leaf Order

2nd September 2010 - We have now placed our Nissan Leaf order.

We have been driving an electric car for over 4 years and would like to own a new electric car when they become available. Michael Boxwell had the opportunity to test drive the Nissan Leaf electric car a month ago and was very impressed with the ride, acceleration and handling.

Why choose the Nissan electric car? We have been on the trial with the Mitsubishi i MiEV for the last 9 months and have been pleased with the way the car fits in with our normal daily journeys, on average we complete 22 miles per day. The main advantage of the Nissan for us is that it is a bigger car 5 seater rather than 4. There have been times during the last year that I have had to take our petrol car to fit everybody in.

The Nissan Leaf also has a 100 mile range compared to 80 miles. This will allow us to be able to drive to our parents and then recharge, so hopefully we will use a petrol car less and less.

On placing our order we needed to pay a deposit and choose a colour, we chose red. The next stage is, we will be allocated a Nissan Dealer who will then go through the order process. We will then hopefully find out a delivery date fairly soon after that.
