11th June 2010 - Although the Renault Fluence price has not yet been officially announced, there are reports from a couple of car websites that the price is to be set at £19,000 plus £85 per month for battery leasing. The official Renault website states that the car will be priced at the equalivant price of a current diesel engine car. This means that the figure of £19,000 may well be right.
The Renault Fluence will not be available until mid 2012, but with the competitive price for an electric car it may make it one of the top selling cars very quickly. Renault is also looking at producing a wide range of electric vehicles and building up an infrastructure very quickly.
