Update from POD Point

POD Point charging post
1st April 2011 - Today we have received an update from POD Point regarding the problems we had with one of their charging bays.
Last weekend we visited Leamington Spa and used a POD Point charger in the Covent Garden's Car Park. We managed to charge our TATA Indica Vista EV, but on our return the flap on the POD Point would not open.
Today we have received a phone call from POD Point to apologise for the problems we had. They explained that on the weekend we contacted them they were in the process of moving offices, which is why we did not receive a phone call back. Future plans are being put in place for the company to have someone available to answer the phones at all times.
They have looked into the problem and the system automatically knew there was a problem and reset the charger. This is why when the car park staff tried the point later it opened and they could remove our cable.
Plan from POD Point
POD Point has planned to replace the chargers in both Covent Garden's and St Peter's car parks to a newer model, this should be done in the next couple of months.
We will continue to use the charging points in Leamington Spa and hopefully we will have no further problems.
